Custom Ingraving (BYOP)
Your Gear. Your Brand. Forever.
Stop labeling your tour kit with silver Sharpies and duct tape. At Backstage Supply Co., we’re opening up our laser lab to the local community for custom engraving and cutting. This is our "Bring Your Own Product" (BYOP) service—you provide the material, and we’ll etch it with surgical precision.
How it Works:
The Gear: Get your drumsticks, guitar pedals, flasks, lighters, or leather straps to us, we'll reach out to coordinate).
The Art: Provide your band logo or custom text in a clean vector format (.AI, .SVG, or .PDF).
The Etch: Our team—all gigging musicians who know how to handle gear—will dial in the laser for a permanent, high-contrast finish.
Sizing Options
We work with two types of engravers. One is designed for smaller items and the other can accommodate larger items.
Standard (12" x 16" or smaller) Drumsticks, Pedals, Flasks, Small Signs, Pickguards.
Large (up to 24" x 36") Large Acrylic Stage Signs, Pedalboards, Kick Drum Heads, Road Case Panels.
What We Etch:
Acrylic (Plexiglass): The secret weapon for the stage. We engrave and cut custom edge-lit signs, drum shields, and transparent gear tags that catch stage lights perfectly.
Wood: Drumsticks, guitar headstocks, and custom-branded pedalboards.
Metal: Anodized aluminum pedals, stainless flasks, and lighters.
Laser-Safe Vinyls: Custom-cut case decals and laptop skins. (Note: We only process non-PVC materials to keep our lungs and our laser healthy).
The "Musician-to-Musician" Rules:
Local Only: This is a drop-off and pick-up service, for now. We don't want the liability of shipping your "one-of-a-kind" vintage gear.
Material Safety: We are experts in identifying laser-safe materials. If you aren't sure if your pickguard or plastic is safe to etch, we'll run a quick "burn test" before we start.
Quality First: We take our time to align every job. We aren't a high-speed mall kiosk; we’re a dedicated shop making sure your gear is tour-ready.
